Baraha - Export - Picture Settings
Settings in this dialog box are used while exporting the picture files from Baraha. Baraha supports exporting pictures in BMP, GIF, JPG and PNG formats.
If the output can't fit in one picture file, then multiple files are created. For example, when you export with a file name, say 'test.gif', then test001.gif, test002.gif, test003.gif files are created.
The Picture Export consists of the following settings which will be used when the user exports the document as picture files.
Dimensions:
You can specify the Width and Height of the picture in pixels.
Margins:
Displays the Top, Bottom, Left and Right margins in pixels.
Create pictures similar to printed pages:
If this option is selected, then the pictures exported will be similar to that of
printed pages. Hence the dimension of the picture depends on the paper size selected for
the printer.
Column gap:
Is used if you are exporting a multi column document.
Background Image:
Specifies a background image for the exported picture file(s). While using this
option, make sure that the dimensions of the output picture is the SAME as the background
image. The background picture can be of BMP, GIF, JPG, or PNG format.
Note:
When you export picture files, the no. of colors in the exported files depends on the color depth (no. of colors) of the system. The color depth of the system is set in the "Display Settings" dialog box in Windows. The most common display settings are 256 colors, High Color (16 Bit), True Color (24 Bit), True Color (32 Bit).
When exporting as GIF files, if the color depth is more than 256 colors, then some of the colors of the Background Image may be lost in the GIF files. The workaround for this problem is to first export as BMP files and then convert the BMP files to GIF files using other graphic tools such as PaintShop Pro, Adobe PhotoShop e.t.c.
