Toolbars allow you to access the commands in Baraha quickly. There are 3 toolbars namely Standard toolbar, Default Settings toolbar and the Internet toolbar. The following is a detailed explanation of the toolbars and the buttons.
The Standard Toolbar

This toolbar contains the standard buttons for Open, Save, Cut, Copy e.t.c.
Creates a new
Baraha document. CTRL+N is the shortcut key. Choose File | New from the menu.
Opens an
existing Baraha document. CTRL+O is the shortcut key. Choose File | Open from the
menu.
Saves the active
Baraha document. CTRL+S is the shortcut key. Choose File | Save from the menu.
Exports the
active document to other file formats such as MS Word / HTML / UNICODE documents,
BMP/GIF/JPG picture files. The menu equivalent of this is File | Export...
Quickly
exports the active document to selected file format. The menu equivalent of this is File
| Quick Export...
Sends the
current document through e-mail. CTRL+M is the shortcut key. Choose File | Send
from the menu.
Cuts the
selection and puts it on the clipboard. CTRL+X is the shortcut key. Choose Edit | Cut
from the menu. This icon is enabled only when the Input Window is focused and when a
selection is made. You can't make a selection in the Preview or the Output windows.
Copies the text
to the clipboard. If the Input Window has the focus, then the current selection in the
Input Window is copied. If the Output Window has the focus (by clicking on it), then the
all the text in the Output Window is copied. CTRL+C is the shortcut key. Choose Edit |
Copy from the menu. This command is used for copying Indian language text from Baraha
to other Windows applications.
Copies
the contents of the Output window and puts it in the clipboard in the various formats. You
can also choose Edit | Copy Special from the menu.
Pastes or
Inserts the clipboard contents. CTRL+V is the shortcut key. Choose Edit | Paste
from the menu. This command is enabled only when the Input Window is focused.
Pastes or Inserts the clipboard contents
after converting to transliteration (ENGLISH) format. You can choose Edit | Paste Special from the menu. This command is
enabled only when the Input Window is focused.
Shows how a
file will look when you print it. You can also choose File | Print Preview menu
command.
Prints the
active file. CTRL+P is the shortcut key. Choose File | Print from the menu.
Converts
the text in the Input Window to Indian script and displays in the Output Window.
CTRL+T is the shortcut key. Choose Edit | Convert from the menu.
Opens up the
Find-Replace dialog box. Using this, you can search and replace a specific word in the
Input Window. CTRL+F is the shortcut key. Choose Edit | Find-Replace.
Hides the
Baraha help window. The menu equivalent is View | Hide Help Window.
Shows the
Baraha help window. The menu equivalent is View | Show Help Window.
Shows the Baraha
help topics.
The Default Settings Toolbar

The Default Settings toolbar has the buttons for font manipulations and for selecting the screen & text color of your choice. Note that this toolbar is enabled only when Output/Preview/Help window is selected. The buttons are disabled when the Input Window is selected. Changing the default property affects the entire text in the selected window. The brief explanation of the buttons follows:
Left aligns
the text in the focused window.
Center
aligns the text in the focused window.
Right
aligns the text in the focused window.
Justifies the
text in the focused window.
Sets the text
style to Bold.
Sets the text
style to Italic.
Sets the
text style to Underline.
Decreases the
font size for the text in the selected window.
Increases the
font size for the text in the selected window.
The Internet Toolbar

The Internet toolbar has the buttons for easy navigation through the files that are recently opened. Users can open a Baraha document either on the local hard disk or on the Internet by typing the URL in the address bar.
Accesses the Internet news. This icon will highlight if the news is accessible. It also
flashes if the updated news is available.
The Back button
opens up the previous document.
The Forward
button opens up the document you viewed before clicking on the Back button.
Animates
during the access to Internet. You can press ESCAPE key to stop the file access.

You can type URLs in the address bar. The URL can refer to a local or remote file. It
also displays the list of 16 most recent files opened. After the filename is entered, hit
the ENTER key or click the
button. You can cancel this operation any time by pressing the ESCAPE key.
