Using other fonts

In Baraha, you can use other TrueType fonts which conform to the same standard as that of the Baraha fonts. The Kannada fonts of Baraha follow the standard enforced by the Karnataka Govt. Similarly, the Tamil fonts of Baraha follow TSCII 1.7 standard. There are a lot of TSCII 1.7 based free Tamil fonts available for free download.

By adding other fonts to Baraha, you can access them in the Font drop down box in the Default Settings dialog box. When you paste text that uses these fonts, from other applications to Baraha, using Paste Special options, the fonts are recognized and text is pasted properly. Baraha Direct will recognise external fonts during conversion and sorting operations.

Follow these steps for adding other fonts to Baraha.

1) Open the baraha.ini file in the Baraha folder.
2) Create new sections and mention the font names as shown below.
