Learning Indian Scripts

Script Override is useful for learning Indian scripts. Let's say you know Devanagari script and wish to learn Kannada script.

Do the following:

• In the Default Settings dialog box, select the language you know (Hindi),
• In the Script Override menu select the script you want to learn (Kannada).

Now, when you type a Hindi word, it appears in Devanagari script in the Preview Window. When you convert (Edit | Convert) the text it appears in Kannada script in the Output Window. Now you can see the same text written in 2 different scripts simultaneously. This way, you can type words in one script and see how they look in other scripts and practice.
